Overview

The Spiti Valley Winter Tour is an irresistible addition to any traveler's bucket list, having transformed from a mere geographic boundary between Tibet and Himachal Pradesh into a premier tourist destination in the last two decades.

Spiti Valley is celebrated for its awe-inspiring natural beauty, ancient monasteries, and the vibrant local culture thriving in nearby villages. The iconic Tabo Monastery's Chorten, a magnificent white and golden structure, graces numerous Spiti Valley YouTube videos, while a myriad of other captivating spots make it a perfect setting for both professional photography and casual Instagram updates.

Yet, Spiti's significance transcends its allure as a traveler's haven; it carries a profound historical narrative known to a select few. From repelling attacks by neighboring kingdoms to withstanding invasions by Ghulam Khan and Rahim Khan’s forces from Jammu and Kashmir, and eventually coming under the dominion of the East India Company in 1846, Spiti's history weaves a complex tapestry of resilience and transformation.
